South Africa

South Africa is a country located in the South of Africa. It is the current place where the World Cup of Football is taking place. This country has many amazing things to show us, like their animals, rivers, ecosystems, etc. Remember, in this country is maybe where human life in the world was created or began. The territory of South Africa is a big plain, and occupies more than 1,223,201 km2 and it has a population of more than 39,948,000 habitants, many of whom are in a food crisis. The capitals of the State are Pretoria and Cape City. Other important cities are Johannesburg, Durban, Port Elisabeth, Bloemfontein, etc. The official languages that are spoken in South Africa are English and Afrikaans, but most residents also speak some Bantu Languages. This country uses the rand as the official coin. It has many different religions, such as Protestantism, Animism, Catholicism and Hinduism. As we mentioned before, this country has great rivers. These are some of the most important ones in South Africa: the Orange and the Vaal, the Limpopo, the Groet Vis, the Oliphant and the Gourits. These are some of the important things that you have to know about South Africa.

South Africa team.

The South Africa national football team or Bafana Bafana is the national team ofSouth Africa and is controlled by the South African Football Association. They returned to the world stage in 1992, after years of being banned from FIFA. They are hosting the 19th FIFA World Cup in June 2010 after they hosted the FIFA Confederations Cup in 2009. South Africa is the first African nation to host the FIFA World Cup. Siphiwe Tshabalala was also the first person to score in this World Cup. The team's highest achievement was winning the African Cup of Nations at home in 1996. Although South Africa has made two appearances in the World Cup, they have not made it past the first round. Their first appearance was in France 1998, six years after they had been readmitted to the global football family. Despite a 3-0 drubbing to France in their opening game, they went on to draw against Denmark and Saudi Arabia. Korea/Japan 2002 was expected to be an opportunity for Bafana Bafana to step up to the next level but unfortunately, they failed to succeed, crashing out after the group stage despite beating Slovenia 1-0 for their first-ever World Cup win.

Rafael Marquez

Rafael Marquez is a Mexican football player. Born in Zamora de Hidalgo, Michoacan de Ocampo. Play as a central defender or sometimes as a holding midfielder in the Barcelona Football Club Spain. He started his football career in the first division Mexican debut only 17 years. Marquez was summoned to the Mexican team for the American Cup 1999 held in Paraguay. He had a outstanding performance. Then, he emigrated to French football, signed by AS Monaco. Conquered his first season in the French league. He was also distinguished as an ideal central defender in the league this season 1999-2000. Since his debut with the national team on 7 February 1997, against Ecuador selection, Marquez has been one of the players most important of the "tri" to be named captain of the team. With your selection has played in the FIFA Confederations Cup in America's Cup Gold Cup, World Cup Soccer Korea and Japan and the World Cup Soccer Germany 2006, which managed to score a goal against Argentina in the second round. This is part of the path that led Rafael Marquez as the defense of Mexican national team.

Mexico vs. South Africa 1-1

The opening game of World Cup was played by Mexico vs. South Africa. In my opinion, it was really strange because I never imagined lose the game, but much less stay 1-1. It seems like the game was sold before it was started, because Mexico has many opportunities to get a goal but no one get it. When we get the first goal by Carlos Vela was canceled because was being out of place. Vela reclaim his goal to the arbiter but he doesn’t care. The people in the tribune were disappointed because of this. In the 55th minute, the opposite team scores a goal by Tshabalala and the score were 1-0 in favor of South Africa. After this, the game becoming more interesting, until Rafa Marquez receive the ball and go to the porter and score a goal, and the score was 1-1. This is how you notated that the defenses of the Mexico team are not giving the best of themselves. This goal make ties with South Africa. And in the last 10 minutes South Africa try to score another goal but the player fails the goal giving the ball to the post causing the ball get out of the field and make no more opportunities to score another goal. This is how you lived the first game of the World Cup in South Africa with a score of 1-1.
