Some poetry

A girl came from the street.
She didn’t know I saw.
She drank a glass of water.
And gave me a smile.
And then she left the school.
With a nice car.
And then came back for me.
To leave her number.

One night with me.

I will tell a very important day for me. When I celebrated one month with my girlfriend, it was her father's birthday, so instead of leaving us alone to go the movies or a party or to celebrate together, we went to celebrate her dad's birthday at a family dinner. She introduced me to all her family and we were having a good time. The dinner was in the San Isidro where the place had another party called "Soft". Her sister is older and has a boyfriend, so they went for a few minutes to the other party and returned to us with some used tickets, so we could enter without paying. After that, we were having fun and we danced a lot. We met many people and saw people that we hadn't seen for a long. And they gave us hugs and took many pictures of us for our first month together. Then we had to return to the dinner because it was raining and my girlfriend had forgotten her jacket. After we went for her jacket, we returned to the party and most people had left. So we left too and a friend came to take me home. But when she came for me, her mother was calling for her to go home, so she left me at a friend’s house in Portal de Aragon at a party where she would returned . When I arrived at the party, it already was finishing and only a few people were there. I said hello to the few remaining and then I looked at the floor and was a girl unconscience. I ask to a friend why she was on the floor and he told me that she wassick. He says to me “don’t worry” and I left her with her friends. After a while I met several people and I had fun for a while. My dad came for me at that party and we gave a friend a ride. He lives near my house. When we left my friend, my dad got angry with me because he doesn’t like giving rides o people who should walk to their homes. I only gives rides to my frineds if the person who is driving is my sister or my mother. I still remember I met a friend and it was very funny because she confused me with someone else. She came and hugged me and I did not know her well, and then I told her that I wasn’t the person she thought. So a friend introduced us and she was very embarrassed but I told her not to worry, that this happenes every time we go out. This is what I did the day I celebrate a month with my girlfriend.

Simple Present, Present Progressive and how to use the non-action verbs.

Simple Present

We can use the simple present when I want to describe what regularly happens, I can use it with adverbs of frequency to express how often something happens. The simple present is used most with non-action verbs. The non-action verbs are the emotions, mental states, possesions, senses and perceptions. For example:

I jump in the bed.

Present Progressive

We can use the present progressive when we want to describe something that is happening right now, in the extended present time, even if it’s not happening at the moment of speaking. For example:

I am jumping in the bed.

Non-Action Verbs

When you use the simple present with the non-action verbs you don’t use the present progressive, even when the verb describes a situation that exists at the moment of speaking. The non-action verbs usually describe states or situations but not actions. They are used to express emotions (for example: hate, like, want feel, fear, trust), describe mental states (know, remember, believe, think, understand), show possession (have, own, posses, belong) and describe senses and perceptions (hear, see, smell, taste, feel, notice, seem, look, be, appear, sound). For example:

  • I like the class a lot. (Emotions)
  • I know a lot of electro music now. (Mental states)
  • Carolina has two dogs. (Possession)
  • Ana seems tired. (Senses and perceptions)

Differences between Mexico and the world.

Mexico is different to other country in so many aspects, for example, if we are comparing Mexico with Holland there are simple differences like Mexico is located in America and Holland is located in Europe,In Holland must of the cities have water channels, becaues Holland have a lot of water, and Mexico is almost a desert, we don't have water channels in middle of the cities. In Mexico we celebrate the death day giving the favorite food of the death person to his tomb, this is like making a party to the death people. Here we eat a lot of things that in other countries don’t exists, like chili, tortilla, tacos, tequila, etc. and the other countries like the chili, the tequila but especially the tacos, Mexico is famous for their tacos. In Holland for say goodbye or hello the persons shake his hands and if you have the left hand in your pocket is a lack of respect for others. Other difference is that Mexico is distributed in states and cities and other countries are distributed only in states or aren’t distributed. Mexico has one of the most difficult languages to learn in the world and is the Spanish, the Spanish is one of the most difficult languages to learn in the world because of their structure to read, write and speak. Spanish have a lot of verbal conjugations when English only have the simples. These are a few of the many reasons why Mexico is different from another place in the world, like Holland.

Mexico

Mexico is different in some aspects but only one word can describe this question, the culture. The culture in Mexico is full of wealth, because it’s reflected in each of us, when each day people make an effort to make a better country. If we took one person from each country and asked them how to do anything, almost all countries would answer by logic or by theories, but a Mexican would respond with his feelings. He knows that we don’t need to be perfect in everything, but we must be a good country and prove it to the world. Mexico has not been a good country in recent years, but we are Mexico,so we are to blame for what our country is, and it is up to us to improve the state of our country. We must make a change, but only the people of this country, the habitants can do it, and we have to try and not give up until we have a wonderful country again. Mexico has had a variety of ethnic groups which have marked our history as a country, one example is the Mayan culture; that culture left us beautiful structures to admire and to study to understand the lifestyle of that time. And these remind us, so we can get down to think what things that we are leaving for the people of the future in our country. Mexico has many cultural ideas and different cultures.
