Avril Lavigne was born in Belleville, Ontario on September 1984. When she was 5 she moved to Nappanee, Ontario, Canada. She has a little sister, Michelle and an old brother, Matthew (Matt). Matt appear in “Girlfriend” video clip. In 1998, Avril won a contest on Ottawa, by singing “What Made You Say That” live with Shania Twain. When she was 16, she moved to New York looking for inspiration to write. Here, the “Network” company discovered her talent. In 2002, she was 17 years, and got her first album “Let Go”. Avril got married in Montecito, California in July 2006 with Deryck Whibley. But in September of 2009, they started the divorce process. She is a Canadian singer, compositor, actress and designer of a new clothing line “Abbey Dawn”. Her first album “Let Go” got 8 Grammy nominations. The songs “Complicated” and “Girlfriend” were some of the 1000 must popular songs in the decade. She has 5 singles that were number one globally, included “Complicated”, "Ske8er Boi”, “I’m With You”, “My Happy Ending” and “Girlfriend”. The last single got the first place on Billboard Hot 100 of United States. At the moment, she has finished her four albums that will be getting out this month. In March of this year, one of the singles “Alice” of her last album was used in the movie “Alice in Wonderland”. Avril has sold 35 million CD’s and 25 million songs.
